Policy Terms and Conditions for Sandy's Safaris - Australian Luxury Tour Operator

Booking and Payment:

1.1. Reservation: To secure a booking with Sandy’s Safaris, a deposit of 30% of the total tour cost is required at the time of booking.
1.2. Balance Payment: The remaining balance must be paid no later than 60 days prior to the departure date. Failure to pay the balance by the due date may result in the cancellation of the booking.
1.3. Last-Minute Bookings: For bookings made within 60 days of departure, the full payment is required at the time of booking.
1.4. Currency: All payments must be made in Australian Dollars (AUD).

Cancellation and Refunds:

2.1. Cancellation by the Client: If the client wishes to cancel a booking, the following cancellation fees will apply:
More than 60 days prior to departure: Loss of deposit
60-31 days prior to departure: 50% of the total tour cost
30 days or less prior to departure: 100% of the total tour cost
2.2. Cancellation by Sandy’s Safaris: In the event that Sandy’s Safaris cancels a tour, a full refund of all payments made by the client will be provided. Sandy’s Safaris will not be liable for any additional expenses incurred by the client as a result of the cancellation.

Travel Insurance:

3.1. It is strongly recommended that all clients purchase comprehensive travel insurance covering personal accidents, medical expenses, baggage loss, and cancellation or curtailment of the tour. Proof of travel insurance may be requested prior to departure.

Passport and Visas:

4.1. It is the responsibility of the client to ensure they possess a valid passport with at least six months validity from the date of return. Additionally, clients must obtain the necessary visas for entry into South Africa and any other relevant countries included in the tour itinerary. Sandy’s Safaris will not be responsible for any costs incurred due to failure to obtain the required travel documents.

Health and Safety:

5.1. Clients should consult their healthcare provider regarding necessary vaccinations and medical requirements for travel to South Africa.
5.2. Sandy’s Safaris reserves the right to refuse participation to any client who is deemed medically unfit or poses a risk to the health and safety of themselves or other tour participants. No refunds will be provided in such cases.

Itinerary Changes:

6.1. Sandy’s Safaris reserves the right to modify tour itineraries, including accommodation, transportation, and activities, due to unforeseen circumstances or events beyond our control. Every effort will be made to provide alternative arrangements of a similar standard.

Liability:

7.1. Sandy’s Safaris acts as a booking agent for various accommodation, transportation, and activity providers and shall not be liable for any loss, injury, damage, delay, or inconvenience caused by the actions or omissions of these providers or any other third parties.
7.2. Sandy’s Safaris will not be liable for any loss, injury, damage, delay, or additional expenses incurred due to events beyond our control, such as natural disasters, political unrest, or transportation disruptions.

Privacy:

8.1. Sandy’s Safaris respects the privacy of its clients and will only collect and use personal information for the purpose of providing tour services. Personal information will not be shared with third parties unless required by law.

Governing Law:

9.1. These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Australia. Any disputes arising from these terms and conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Australia. By continuing with the booking of a tour with Sandy’s Safaris, the client acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to the following terms and conditions:

Governing Law:

9.1. These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Australia. Any disputes arising from these terms and conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Australia.

Acceptance of Risk:

10.1. Travel to South Africa and participation in tour activities may involve certain inherent risks and dangers, including but not limited to wildlife encounters, adventurous activities, and exposure to unfamiliar environments. By booking a tour with Sandy’s Safaris, the client acknowledges and accepts these risks and agrees to release and hold harmless Sandy’s Safaris, its employees, agents, and suppliers from any claims, liabilities, or damages arising from such risks.

Force Majeure:

11.1. Sandy’s Safaris shall not be liable for any failure or delay in the performance of its obligations under these terms and conditions if such failure or delay is due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, strikes, civil unrest, or government restrictions.

Severability:

12.1. If any provision of these terms and conditions is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

Amendments:

13.1. Sandy’s Safaris reserves the right to amend or modify these terms and conditions at any time. The client will be bound by the most recent version of the terms and conditions available on the Sandy’s Safaris website at the time of booking.

Entire Agreement:

14.1. These terms and conditions constitute the entire agreement between the client and Sandy’s Safaris and supersede any prior agreements, understandings, or representations, whether oral or written, relating to the subject matter herein. By proceeding with the booking and making a payment, the client acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to these policy terms and conditions for Sandy’s Safaris as an Australian Luxury Tour Operator selling tours to South Africa.
